Hi! I’m Carmen! It's nice to meet you!
I am a small-town Iowa farm girl who moved to Chicago after college graduation. I planned and booked my first trip abroad after finishing grad school in 2011.
On that first trip, I traveled solo and visited eight European countries in a little over two weeks. I came home with great memories, lots of photos and the travel bug. I was officially hooked!
In 2022, I decided to take my passion for planning travel a step further by becoming a Travel Advisor with Windy City Travel in Chicago. My goal as a Travel Advisor is to help to take the stress out of travel planning, maximize your time off and make sure you have the best trip ever!
When I am not on the road or in the friendly skies, I am at home with my dog, Stella, at the theater, meeting friends for brunch or inside the friendly confines of Wrigley Field cheering on the Chicago Cubs.

One of my favorite travel experiences was taking the Alaskan Railroad from Anchorage to Denali.
I believe Chicago is one of the best cities in the world. I love it so much!
I grew up on a dairy farm in Iowa.
I earned my BBA in Accounting from the University of Iowa and my MBA from DePaul University.
